I was shopping for some new 6x9s for my rear shelf, and came across these Morels.
At 1st I almost laughed myself silly when I saw the price. I remembered Morel speakers being more money then I would ever care to spend. A relative of mine had Morel home speakers and they completely blew me away with how crisp, clear, and smooth they made everything sound. Well, remembering the Morel name, and the beautiful sound they created all these years later led me to seriously consider these Maximo line speakers for my car. Sure theyre Morels bargain line, but some of that amazing quality and clarity mustve been adopted by these, so Im giving them a go.
Sorry, for not having an actual review yet(my set wont be here for a few more days), but Im just curious if any of the buyers before me can say where the Maximo line is made? I know the higher end stuff is made by hand in Israel and tested extensively before being packaged. Are these hand made in Israel also, or did they have em batched by machine in China to save money and make them so much more affordable? I guess I could just wait a few days, but Im getting antsy.
Im gettin very stoked to give these a listen! If they have that signature Morel smoothness and clarity, Im definitely going to order another set for 30 beans...beats the $100+ Ive seen em selling for everywhere else.

Update...OMG!!! Just got these put in a few mins ago...these babys are Infinity, Pioneer, JL, etc(Ive tried em all) killers! The clarity is amazing! Every little detail in the music is in your face even at low volumes, and even just running off of my head units normal power of 20 RMS. Ill be slapping an amp on them as soon as my wiring kit comes in.
I cant begin to say how impressed I am with these speakers. They would be totally worth it even at $150, but at $32...Im totally gonna purchase another set very soon.
Its hard to believe this is Morels bottom of the barrel bargain line of speakers cuz you would never guess it if you heard them without knowing.
Stop the searching for affordable 6x9"s and get a set of these. You wont regret it!

Still well worth the 91 beans, but sooo stoked I got em for $32.

2nd Update...Just put an old small Kenwood amp to these that only puts out 40rms to each speaker. All I can say is im completely amazed at how much better these speakers just got even running at less than half of their total rms power output. If you buy these, AMP THEM! They sound great off of normal headunit power, but when amped, they are a completely different animal. Forget your Infinitys, or Polks...these speakers dont dissapoint! Please Amazon, make these $32 again so I can afford an extra set or two! =)

3rd update...Just installed a 4 channel Polk PA660 amp and now that these are getting a more respectable 75w RMS, they are a completely different speaker. All I can say is that these just get better the more power I add to them. Get a good amp with plenty good clean power and these speakers will love you for it. Also, with the extra power, Ive had to add some sound deadening sheets to the rear shelf where these are located to keep the rear shelf from buzzing at higher volumes. In addition Ive learned that GB conduit seal makes an awesome speaker gasket and also helps cut down any unwanted vibrations from your speakers. ;)
