It does have some flex to it but it all depends on what you will be using it for.

We installed this steering wheel on a RallyCross car and have been very pleased with it. The yellow stripe is great for finding steering-center while in a skid/slide. I usually drive with racing gloves that have a leather-palm but this steering wheel is covered in a soft, felt-like material that makes it easier to operate without gloves.

My only reason for not giving it 5 start is because the horn button is not properly sized and I had to beat on it to get it to press into the slot that is is supposed to simply press-fit into.
