Once they are programed with the pc software via the usb cable they work well. They were not very intuitive to set up .
When set up they are a solid radio with easy to understand controls . It fits easily in a shirt pocket , has good battery life , but does not run on AA bateries. This radio has a good mic and speaker with clear transmissions in both directions
