Let me start by saying that I owned an older version of this kit using a silk tweeter, so I can not speak to those.
The midrange drivers however are the same, and they are remarkable. The sound quality is very impressive even for drivers costing twice the money. With four of these in a midsize sedan many people guessed there was a subwoofer in the trunk, with certain tracks. Even with the strong low end the rest of the sound stage is not muddy, but clear and crisp. You will hear things in your favorite songs you did not know were there. They are very decent running of a deck but need to be on a quality amp to shine in the way I have described. They are an old design, now at least 10 years old but will out perform many newer lines from other manufacturers. I have owned other makes over the years and have been disappointed time and time again. Cadence products, be they speakers, subs, or amps can not be outdone for anywhere near the same money.
