I had to tap 2 holes on my carb side of the engine and use shorter screws than what were provided. Directions call for the head to be drilled as well. I was not brave enough to go this route and just purchased shorter screws since 1/2" deep holes were already there on my 85 scrambler

Overall, I'm very pleased with this add-on harness. The descriptors on Amazon made it look like it would give me additional constant hot and additional ignition hot capabilities. That was not the case. This harness gives you an additional 7 ignition hot circuits as made. There are no constant hot circuits built in. I was able to modify the harness to give me additional constant hot circuits by bypassing one of the relays and everything works well. The harness itself is well built just like everything else I've bought from painless. It is certainly sealed well against the elements and gives additional protection to the rest of your electrical system by adding in two circuit breakers in addition to the fused circuits.
