In order for this head unit to fit into my 06 Elantra properly i needed a few other things. Metra's Dash Kit (Model: 99-7313) and Metra's Wire harness (Model: 70-7301)

I am very impressed with this head unit. The first thing i did was read the manual all the way through. There's tons of information in there that people miss and that can leave them with a bad experience. I mainly use the unit for 3 different sources (CD, Bluetooth and USB) all of which i have no complaints. CD's work flawlessly. Bluetooth connectivity for both hands free talking and audio is very good quality, for bluetooth i had to enable on the head unit settings to broadcast to ALL speakers, it defaults to front only. I installed a micro USB 32gb flash drive with mostly my bass boosted songs on it, navigation through folders is pretty easy and straightforward. Once the settings on the unit are setup right it really makes your speakers sound much deeper and richer, it can control your high's mid's and low's, has bass boosting and either a custom EQ or Preset EQ functions. As far as the lighting i think it's absolutely beautiful, lights up blue. I have had no issues with the lighting being too bright at night. Overall i am very impressed with this unit. I hardly ever use the FM source but when i do it is pretty neat that it shows you the radio station and name of the song playing, i no longer have to Shazam songs in my car lol.

The only CON i have with the unit is that if direct sunlight shines on the unit i cannot see anything displayed until i put my hand near the unit to block the sunlight, which in all honesty isn't a big deal to me.

*To install properly in my 06 Elantra i needed both Metra's Dash kit and Wire harness. Installing the unit into the dash kit is pretty simple and straightforward. I had to position it in such a way that when the face plate was attached it was flush with the CD holder edge, the supplied 'cage' with the Head Unit has tabs that can be pressed for easy fitting. As far as the wiring harness both Metra and the Head Unit itself has clearly labeled how the wires should be connected to each other. I chose to solder and shrink heat wrap my harness but if i had to do it again i might have chose to use Male/Female Quick Disconnects as then i would be able to reuse the Kenwood harness easier without having to splice it off.
