I have not had this hitch on my car for very long yet. It seems to be very well built, but I wish I had read the online instructions a little closer. I thought the model I bought for my car would be a lot easier to install than it turned out to be. If my car (Hyundai Elantra) had been one built in the USA, it would have been a lot easier to install, instead it was a Korean built unit. Which meant that I had to do some drilling holes into the frame, a definite 2 man operation since you have to hold the hitch in place to use it as a template to mark where the holes are to be drilled. If you have to do this, make SURE you check the position of the hitch from all angles, etc before drilling. It took 2 of us 2 hours to get it installed. Once the wholes are drilled, there you have it, no going back. Once on, it seems very sturdy, but I have not pulled a heavier load with it yet, so the jury is still out.
